Commercial harvest in state waters prohibited
All harvest in federal waters prohibited
Minimum size not less than 18" or more than 27" measured as total length with a pinched tail
Bag limit of 1 per harvester per day
Gigging, spearing and snatching prohibited
Must remain in whole condition until landed ashore
Harvest prohibited by or with the use of multiple hooks in conjunction with live or dead natural bait
**NEW**
A recent stock assessment showed red drum were exceeding the management goals in two areas of the state. At the November 16, 2011 Commission meeting FWC Commissioner approved the following new regulations for red drum effective February 1, 2012:
"Northeast region," "Northwest region" and "South region" were created
Bag limit increase in the Northeast and Northwest regions from 1 fish to 2 fish
Statewide vessel limit of 8 red drum
Off-water possession limit removed
Bag limits apply to the land in the area adjacent to the fishing site
Transport possession limit of 6 per person

68B-3.007 Prohibition on Take of Puffer Fish in Volusia, Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin Counties.
In the waters of Volusia, Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin Counties, the taking of fish commonly known as puffers, Genus Sphoeroides, is prohibited.

*Eating puffer fish (also called blowfish) can cause saxitoxin poisoning which can lead to neurological symptoms such as tingling, burning, numbness, drowsiness, incoherent speech and difficulty breathing. In severe cases, the poisoning can cause death. Cooking or cleaning the fish will not destroy the toxin. This toxin also has no taste, color or smell. If you experience any of the symptoms mentioned, contact your physician or visit the emergency room immediately.

Black Bass are beginning to bite. I figure buy next Sunday we can catch em in Numbers so lets crank up some hallbusters and slam some Flounder, Bass, Shark, Mangrove as the weather allows.
